FAQ

How is Block Therapy different than any other fascia modalities?

The key distinction lies in the method: persuasion versus force. With Block Therapy, we gently persuade your tissue to melt and release. Through the application of your body weight and gravity, combined with pressure on the Block and proper diaphragmatic breathing, the fascia naturally releases tension.

In contrast, other fascia methods often rely on forceful intentions. This can lead to the tearing of fascia, resulting in injury and ultimately the accumulation of scar tissue.

What if I am unable to exercise?

Block Therapy doesn't demand any particular skill or significant energy expenditure. You remain in full control throughout your Block Therapy session. We provide clear instructions on how to use the Block safely, with one of our primary rules being 'your breath is your guide'. An exceptional aspect of Block Therapy is that it doesn't typically induce sweating—unless, of course, that's your intention. Block Therapy seamlessly integrates therapy, exercise, and meditation into a single practice.

"But it's just a block..."

We understand this sentiment, and indeed, at its core, Block Therapy utilizes a simple bamboo block! However, it's not just any bamboo—it's your therapeutic tool. Bamboo possesses a density akin to bone, allowing us to effectively melt and release fascial restrictions down to the bone level, where many underlying issues reside. Unlike foam, plastic, or synthetic materials, which only address surface layers of tissue, our organic bamboo Blocks delve deeper, targeting the root causes of your discomfort. Each Block is raw and organic, embodying the essence of nature itself.

Is this an at home program?

Absolutely! With Block Therapy, you have the freedom to practice wherever and whenever you desire. No need for a gym, studio, or clinic attendance. Whether you prefer the comfort of your home or the energizing atmosphere of a studio, the choice is yours.

We've designed Block Therapy to be accessible to everyone, including those who are bedridden. You can bring your Block with you wherever you go. Travel frequently? No problem. Your personal therapist—your Block Buddy—can accompany you anywhere, even on a plane.

How can this help with skin issues?

As we age, gravitational forces cause our fascia to tighten, trapping these substances within its layers. By employing our technique, we aim to reverse this aging process by melting away these adhesions in the fascia. This release not only frees trapped toxins but also negative emotions. As these substances are liberated, they may be expelled from the body through the bloodstream or manifest on the skin as blemishes such as pimples, rashes or discoloration.
